I'm a busy mother of 3 boys ranging in age from 1 to 13 years old. My ultimate mission in life is to get a home cooked meal on the table and save our family money in the process.
This blog came to fruition after the realization that I wanted an outlet to share my knowledge of great home cooked meals with money saving tips on your groceries that give you the most bang for your buck and gives you more time with your family. We live in a world where everyone is so busy and the economy is making it harder on many people to be able to maintain the lifestyle they once knew. It's my hope that through this blog I can take the stress out of figuring out how to combine coupons with weekly sales ads to get huge savings on your grocery bills (slashing them, on average, 50%-90%) and give you delicious recipes that your family will be super impressed by! My job is to make all Moms look like the Super Women they are and to save some major bucks! So, come. Join me in my "Adventures of Mommydom"!
This section is for the newbie coupon shoppers that need some help understanding how coupons work, where to find them, the coupon "lingo", etc. If you find that I have not addressed a question you may have, please feel free to email me at stealsandmeals@gmail.com. I am only too happy to help.
Where do I find coupons?
If you don't have a subscription to your Sunday paper, get one NOW! Yes, you can get one at the grocery store, but you don't have to worry about getting out of your PJ's to go to the store to buy one not to mention the fact that it's so much cheaper to just get a subscription! You will find loads of coupons every week in it. A tip for my savvy money saving followers...DO NOT throw any of your coupons away! Even if you think you'll never use that product? It was a big mistake I made and now I kick myself for doing it! I have learned that you never know when something is going to be on sale and your coupon may enable you to get your product at a hugely discounted price or better yet...FREE! There have been many products that I would have never otherwise tried, but did because I couldn't pass up the deal. You will find that many of the coupons you see in your Sunday paper are NOT found on-line so, in my humble opinion, you MUST get a Sunday paper to help get the best bang for your buck. In fact, if you want an ever better deal either buy 3 or 4 Sunday papers or do what I do...ask someone who doesn't use their coupons from their Sunday paper! If that happens, please smack them and tell them they are throwing away good money and they need to see my blog, pronto!
